Donny Goines, THE BREAKFAST CLUB

DONNY GOINES

Born in Manhattan, Donny Goines spent his youth going back and forth between Philly, the Bronx, and Harlem. Ingrained with a street mentality that some can only imitate, Donny knew that to fill the holes in his life, something had to change, something had to happen. His energies had to focus on a positive to avoid the negative. Having been forced to grow up fast, Donny realized in his searching that music was his solace. With an obvious interest in performing, writing and free-styling, Hip-Hop became a more prominent aspect of Donny’s life, it became his salvation.

Putting pen to paper allowed him a release from his real world; yet aware that what he penned people would relate to. Always having to be one step ahead of permanent hardship and in control of his own destiny meant adjustments had to be made.

A chance meeting online with the late Disco D had the producer take the role of mentor to Donny Goines. Donny was consistent, he was eager and his passion for Hip-Hop couldn’t be ignored.

Blessed with knowledge, guidance and relentless focus Donny took on board all the lessons he was taught, the invaluable information that was bequeathed to him. Donny was in a position many people can only dream of. But the devastating loss of not only a mentor but a friend when Disco D took his own life had Donny re-evaluating his position.

Knowing that Disco D would not want him to dwell on what was gone; Donny immersed himself in music. There were not enough hours in his day to do what he wanted to do. Determined to expose himself to the world, Donny worked extremely hard and the results he has seen is what many unsigned artists hope to achieve for themselves.

He has delivered solid performances at infamous New York industry events, allowing people to see that he is not just a studio rapper. He wowed the audience at the legendary Faces in the Crowd showcase held in New York City. “There is nothing better than seeing people react to you when you perform on stage. When you get a New York crowd rocking, you know you are doing something really right.”

One of those performances was the Breeding Ground showcase during All Hip Hop week at SOBs in lower Manhattan. Having also appeared on the Breeding Ground was a great achievement for Donny. He appeared alongside fellow New York rapper Joell Ortiz, M.O.P and amongst other Breeding Ground Alums.

Donny prides himself on being a rapper who relates to what fans require. He isn't afraid to put out music for free, he isn't afraid to perform without charging; he knows that to engage fans with his words and his ability, these measures have to be taken.

Donny Goines is proving to the industry, his fans and most importantly himself that his talent never falters, his grind never ceases and he would be a welcomed addition to any label’s roster; given half a chance.

TANYA MORGAN

Tanya Morgan was founded in 2003. Von Pea and Donwill, already regular collaborators after having met on the okayplayer.com message board, decided to work on a full-length album together. Ilyas, who along with Donwill comprised a hip-hop duo known as Ilwill, joined the project as a third member, and producer Brickbeats was brought in to work on the album as well. Since Von Pea lived in Brookyln and both Donwill and Ilyas lived in Cincinnati, the trio did much of the work on their first album by exchanging files across AOL Instant Messenger.

Prior to releasing their debut album Moonlighting, Tanya Morgan released an online mixtape, Sunlighting, and an EP of original material, Sunset. After Tanya Morgan was featured in XXL Magazine's "Show and Prove”, Moonlighting was released on Loud Minority Music. The album received 3.5 mics (out of 5) in The Source magazine, an entry in the Chairman's Choice column in XXL, as well as coverage in Wax Poetics magazine.

The group released the first MySpace-themed video for their single "We Be", and it went on to win MTVu's Freshman of the Week contest in July 2006.  The "We Be" video was resultantly aired on channels such as MTV Jams, Much Music and nyctv's The Bridge.

Tanya Morgan has collaborated with hip-hop acts such as Nicolay, Fat Jon, 88 Keys. The group performed at Toronto's NXNE Festival with Noveau Riche, and the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival with Ghostface Killah, Large Professor, Consequence, and others. Tanya Morgan is also a regular at New York's annual CMJ Festival.

Tanya Morgan was voted the winner of the "Show Us What You Got" Hip-Hop Artist Competition, held on October 25, 2007 at the Power Summit in Las

Vegas, Nevada. They were also featured in XXL's "Chairman's Choice" in September of 2008, and named in XXLMag.com's Top Ten Artists in July of the same year.  2008 also saw the release of their EP The Bridge. IM-KING CLOTHING

The days of the knights and boundless fellowship, kingdoms rich with dreams and pure concord, seem so long forgotten. But nothing ever really dies; their essence seeds, grows, and imbues. The kingdoms live on in the minds and souls, kingdoms that tie together those bonded of heart and unmatched passion.

At Imaginary Kingdom, we operate as a single, united phalanx; without the strength and talent of any one individual, the kingdom falls. The kingdom thrives on the zeal of our members, fortifying our reputation with flagship dedication and unmatched creative talent. We do what works, and most importantly, we do what we love; nobody will tell us different.

Im-King is for the everyday person who strives to the highest fulfillment of their individuality- the person who seizes the day to exceed the reality before them, the person who revels in their interests and can make a profound difference in the world through them. We connect with those free spirits who seek an uplifting, communal approach to life, where the only limit is the confines of our own lucid imagination.
